Tahoe Research, Scholarship & Outreach at the University of Nevada, Reno

About the Tahoe: Research, Scholarship & Outreach Web Site

The "Tahoe Project Team" created this web site to inform you about research and outreach projects in the Lake Tahoe region, pique your interest in learning more about our unique environment, and delight you with art, photographs and historic documents that tell Tahoe's story.

The University Libraries' KnowledgeWorks developed the web site with support from Teaching and Learning Technologies, the Lake Tahoe Environmental Education Coalition (LTEEC), the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, the Biological Resources Research Center, and the University of Nevada Academy for the Environment.

LTEEC (Lake Tahoe Environmental Education Coalition) provided substantial content, in particular the greater part of the streaming videos. Cooperative Extension also contributed significantly to the site's content. Likewise, the Libraries’ Special Collections Department provided a variety of scanned historical materials. The University’s Biological Resources Research Center contributed Tahoe related citations from its bibliographic database of Nevada biological and environmental resources. The Academy for the Environment provided the impetus for this Web site by bringing together scholars and staff on campus interested in furthering Tahoe oriented research and outreach.
